Deep cleaning
Such is the cleaning efficiency of microfibre cloths that they are three times more efficient than other materials at cleaning on a microscopic scale, removing 99 per cent of bacteria rather than only 33 per cent.
Dusting
microfibre is electrostatic: that is to say, it produces a small electrical charge when rubbed onto another surface. This charge in turn attracts dust, making these products ideal for cleaning surfaces.
Cleaning your car
microfibre cloths are an ideal choice for cleaning and polishing car interiors, as well as the windshield and windows of the vehicle, because the cloths are free of lint and if they have a smooth surface they will not retain dust particles which could scratch fine metal and glass surfaces. Their absorbency also makes them a great choice for removing wax from car paintwork.
Cleaning lenses
Their non-scratch properties also mean microfibre cleaning cloths are widely used for cleaning skin oil, sunscreen and similar substances from camera lenses, smartphones, eyeglasses and computer screens. Again, smooth microfibre cloths are best for this as they will not retain grit and scratch the glass.
Wiping up spills
We’ve all done it: a distracted jerk of your arm or a butterfingered moment with a cup of tea and suddenly your drink is deposited precisely where it shouldn’t be. You need lightning reactions when that occurs to minimise stains or damage (to, for example, electronics). You also need a powerful, reliable way of soaking up the spills.
